This is Part 2 of our article on why your iPhone battery drains too quickly,
7. You are using your WiFi incorrectly.
Make sure you don't use your phone line for apps that require an online connection unless you can't avoid it.
Don't listen to people who say you should turn off your WiFi when you're not using it because all apps and services will use your GPS signal instead of WiFi. And that uses more battery.
8. You have automatic downloads on.
Settings > iTunes & App Store
While it's a handy feature if your apps always automatically update the same without you having to do anything. But if you want to save your battery, you'd better turn off automatic downloads.
9. Too much in your Spotlight search
Settings > General > Spotlight Search
Here you can choose what should be searched when searching on the iPhone. You can deactivate apps that you do not use regularly here.
10. Your background refresh is enabled.
All apps that automatically update content or use location services in the background via Wi-Fi or a mobile network are listed under Settings > General > Background update. You can either disable all or at least a few of them.
11. You didn't turn off your airdrop.
Airdrop is a new feature of iOS7 to exchange documents and other data between different Apple devices. When Air is on, it's constantly looking for another device to connect to. You can turn off Airdrop from Control Center.
12. Push notifications from too many apps are enabled.
Settings > Notifications
Here you can choose how or whether which apps will send you notifications (via license plate, notifications, sounds or banners, license plate symbol). Deactivate all notifications from apps that you do not need and remove them from the notification center by clicking into the individual apps and making the settings.
